A meticulously arranged wooden writing desk made of dark walnut, its surface smooth and subtly reflective, holding an open leather-bound theological volume with gilt-edged pages fanned gently. A finely crafted brass fountain pen rests diagonally across the margin, and a single bookmark ribbon in deep burgundy drapes over the edge. The desk stands before a tall mullioned window where soft morning sunlight filters through, casting gentle, elongated shadows and golden highlights on the page’s delicate paper texture. In the background, an out-of-focus wall of books in rich, muted tones creates intellectual depth. Photographic realism, shot at eye level with a shallow depth of field, conveys a serene, contemplative atmosphere and a sophisticated, scholarly aesthetic suitable for a theology-focused nonprofit.

SUNESIS Groups

SUNESIS reading groups gather small communities around rich theological texts, combining careful study, prayerful reflection, and open discussion so participants can move beyond abstract knowledge into wisdom that shapes worship, vocation, and everyday discipleship.

Starting May 2026

Current SUNESIS Reading Group

How we read the Bible, not just that we read it, has significant ramifications not only for the maturity of our own  faith but also for those we have been called to minister to and alongside. For this next session of the Sunesis Reading Group, we will spend time together considering how best to understand and approach the Word of God through Kevin Vanhoozer’s Mere Christian Hermeneutics.
